It’s hard to believe a full year has passed, but next week is indeed North Korea Freedom Week. This year’s theme is OPEN! North Korea — Open Hearts, Open Minds, and Open Borders.
The Isabella Foundation is taking on the important theme of Open Borders. We will host a session on the current state of vulnerable populations, especially children, in North Korea and how humanitarian assistance can be provided to address the situation.
We will joined by panel of North Korean defector witnesses who will testify about how we can help the people of North Korea.
We will be joined by a panel of four North Korean defector witnesses who will testify about their own experiences and how we can help the people of North Korea. They will discuss the following topics:
- Human Rights, Women Rights, and the Food Shortage Situation in North Korea
- The Circumstances of North Korean Orphanages and Orphan Rescues
- Challenges of International Humanitarian Aid to North Korea
- International Cooperation to Improve North Korean Human Rights
I hope you will agree that this is a very exciting lineup! We will send more information about each of the speakers soon.
Registration is free, but please do register now as space is limited. Simultaneous translation will be provided during the event.
